The difference between BOPP precoated film and PET precoated film
Author:
Pre-coating refers to the process of pre-gluing and rewinding the plastic film and then compounding it with the paper printing. It is first coated on the film by the pre-coated film processing plant according to the specifications and format, and then rewound for the use of manufacturers to choose, and then combined with printed matter.
Film, that is, film, is the plastic film coated with adhesive, and paper printed matter after heating, pressure to make it bonded together, the formation of paper-plastic products processing technology.
The coated printed matter, due to the addition of a thin and transparent plastic film on the surface, the surface is smoother and brighter, thereby improving the gloss and fastness of the printed matter, the graphic color is more bright, full of three-dimensional effect, and it is more waterproof, Anti-fouling, abrasion resistance, folding resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, etc.
Today we will BOPP precoated film and PET precoated film to explain the difference for everyone!
BOPP precoated film
Pre-coating refers to the process of pre-gluing and rewinding the plastic film and then compounding it with the paper printing. It is first coated on the film by the pre-coated film processing plant according to the specifications and format, and then rewound for the use of manufacturers to choose, and then combined with printed matter.
Film, that is, film, is the plastic film coated with adhesive, and paper printed matter after heating, pressure to make it bonded together, the formation of paper-plastic products processing technology. BOPP pre-coating film that polypropylene film and EVA hot melt adhesive to form a laminated structure of the composite film, has a unique performance, can improve the shortcomings of ordinary polypropylene film, play the superior performance of polypropylene film.
Polypropylene is polymerized from the waste gas after high temperature cracking of petroleum under the action of catalyst.
2. Properties of polypropylene film:
Advantages:
1) light weight, density of 0.91g/cm2, is one of the lightest plastic film, can float on the water surface.
2) Good heat resistance, which is an excellent performance that thermoplastics do not have.
3) Good chemical stability, acid resistance, alkali resistance, oil resistance, moisture-proof, waterproof barrier properties.
4) Non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, and polyethylene is recognized as the best material for food packaging in the world.
5) High transparency, good gloss, especially suitable for internal printing, good printing adaptability
Disadvantages:
1) poor oxygen barrier, easy to age under sunlight.
2) Low temperature resistance is poor, and the texture is brittle at low temperature.
3) When used for printing, it is necessary to obtain a better effect on the surface corona treatment (surface tension is greater than or equal to 38mN/m).
4) High static electricity. If there is no static removal device, an antistatic agent needs to be added during production.
PET pre-coating film
PET pre-coating film that is, polyester film and EVA hot melt adhesive to form a laminated structure of composite film, with superior composite performance, can be covered without affecting the superiority of PET pre-coating film performance.
Polyester formerly known as: poly-propylene glycol ester, performance is as follows:
1) mechanical strength, its tensile strength is about 5 to 10 times that of polyethylene, so 12mic PET film has been widely used, 9mic very thin PET film has also begun to use, in addition, polyester film also has the advantages of high stiffness and strong impact resistance.
2) good heat resistance, melting point of 260 ℃, softening point of 230~240 ℃, even if the two-way stretching process, in the case of high temperature, the thermal shrinkage is still very small, with excellent dimensional stability, at high temperature for a long time heating still does not affect its performance.
3) oil resistance, good drug resistance, not easy to dissolve, have good acid corrosion resistance, resistance to organic solvents, grease erosion, but easy to deteriorate in contact with strong alkali.
4) It has excellent gas barrier property and good odor barrier property.
5) The barrier performance to water vapor is not as good as polyethylene and polypropylene.
6) High transparency, light transmittance above 90%, good gloss and good printing performance.
7) to prevent poor ultraviolet transmission.
